University is a 2002 Tamil romance film directed by Praghadish starring Jeevan and Gajala. Jeevan made his debut with this film.[1] University failed to make a mark at the box office.[2][3]

Plot

A movie about a socially awkward man named Gandhi. He one night accidentally calls a girl named Shanmathi who apparently goes to the same university. Shanmathi picks up the phone who that night decides to suicide but turned happen. The reason she almost suicide because her father wants to take her to the U.S.A with him. As both Gandhi and Shanmathi keeps talking they fall in love. Shanmathi wants to meet him. So Gandhi go meets her on Valentine's Day, but Shanmathi misunderstands him like who is this ugly man. Aal Thotta Bhoopathy decides to help Shamanthi, so he gets a man to pretend to be him. This is a major fall for Gandhi. The fake guy decides to love her. So he decides to marry Shanmanthi because of how rich she is. He tried to murder Aal Thotta Bhoopathy. In the end Tamilselvan, the principal of the school tells Gandhi express who is was.Gandhi decides to make an announcement by making a poem. In the end Shanmathi realizes who Wrong Number was this socially awkward student.
