Unión La Calera is a Chilean Football club, their home town is La Calera in Chile. They currently play in 1st division of Chilean football Liga Chilena de Fútbol: Primera División. Their main local rivals are San Luis Quillota.
History
The club was founded on January 26, 1954 by the merge of Tifón, Minas Navío, Cóndor, Cemento Melón and Calera Comercio.
One directive that ran the table in Calera was formed in the presidency by the then mayor of La Calera Ramon Aravena Laborde, as vice president was the great Chahúan Nicholas Nazar (his name is now leading the Municipal Stadium), the Treasurer Sergio was Olave, Protesorero Luis Herrera, July Secretary Rolando Escobar Pro Heraldo Cabezas and his first Directors were Alberto Caso, Manuel Garcia, Hernan Latorre, Manuel Rubilar, Juan Silva, Sergio Vergara and Froilan Zelaya. Union to day is a La Calera Sportswear Company, whose shareholders are entrepreneurs wholesalers Santiago. Directors are four citizens of La Calera: Cecil Jaime, Camilo San Martín, Sergio Jadue and Jose Garcia.
