Uncinia uncinata (also known as hook grass, hook sedge, bastard grass, kamu or matau-a-maui) is a species of plant in the Cyperaceae family.

Endemic to New Zealand and Hawaii. Its natural habitat is from the coast up to 1000 metres, and is found in areas ranging from native forest to shrubland.[1]
