Unchahar is a town and a nagar panchayat in Raebareli district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Unchahar is located on Lucknow Allahabad Highway, 115 km from Lucknow, 85 km from Allahabad, and 10 km from the River Ganges. It is directly connected by rail and road to Kanpur, Lucknow, and Allahabad.Unchahar is also a constituency of Uttar Pradesh Legislative assembly (183 Unchahar Vidhan Sabha),before 2011 it was named as 112 Dalmau Vidhan Sabha. now Manoj pandey is the elected for the legislative assembly of unchahar. unchahar is very famous marketing place of rural areas.unchahar tehsil is located 4 km towards the Raebareli. Unchahar is best known for the NTPC Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Plant, which has a capacity of 1050 MW. There are 3 main schools in the NTPC Campus:
