UltraBac is a set of backup software suites offered by UltraBac Software, part of the BEI corporation. The initial product, UltraBac itself, has been on the market since 1995 and offers a client-server based backup solution that includes support for image backups. Successor products, UBDR Pro and Gold (UltraBac Disaster Recovery) focus considerably more on image backups, Some 20,000 firms and individuals have purchased the software[citation needed]. The firm is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, USA. Founded in 1982, the company's stated mission is to development high-performance backup utility applications. Privately held, the company has been self-funded and profitable every year.[citation needed] The company was listed in Software Magazine's "Software 500" in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.[1]
