Ujire is a small town near Dharmasthala. It is situated in Belthangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. This is a junction where the road deviates to Dharmasthala and Mudigere of Chikkamagaluru.

This place is famous for its educational institutes, most of them belonging to SDME (Shree Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Educational) Trust.
