Ugbo

Ugbo formally known as Ogulugu is a town in northern part of Awgu Local Government in Enugu State, Nigeria, situated on top of beautiful upland of Awgu. Ugbo is surrounded by other towns such as Achi in oji river LGA, Amoli, Ogugu, Owelli, Obeagu, and Mmaku all in Awgu Local Government. Ugbo is made up of four villages but three autonomous communities namely Ugbo (also called Ugbo-Okpala), Ugbonabo and Ngene ugbo autonomous community which comprises Oyibo and Ngene. Ugbo people celebrate two unique festivals, The Aju festival (iwa akwa) and New yam festival (iri ji ohuu).
