Poblacion (officially Barangay Poblacion) is one of the 44 barangays constituting the municipality of Ubay, in the province of Bohol, Philippines. The barangay serves as the central barangay or town proper of the municipality.

The barangay's total land area is approximately 199[2] hectares. It has a population of 3,698[3]as of 2007, making the barangay as the most populated barangay of the municipality. In the last 2010 National election, it had 2,260[4]registered voters.

Barangay Poblacion celebrates its annual fiesta every Last Friday of January in honor of their patron saint.

Location

Located on the town proper, barangay Poblacion is overlooks Camotes Sea to the north. It is bounded by barangay Casate and Tapon to the west, to the south, by barangay Bood, and to the east by barangay Fatima.

History

Poblacion is once a large barangay which then includes barangay Tapon, Bood and Calanggaman.
