USC&GS Patton (ASV-80) was a survey ship that served in the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey from 1941 to 1967.
Patton was built in 1941, by Sagstad Shipyard at [Ballard, Washington], [Her sister ship, the survey ship USC&GS Lester Jones (ASV-79) was built at Astoria Shipyard in Astoria Oregon, in 1940. She served in the Pacific during her Survey career, including in Alaskan waters.
Patton was retired in 1967.
The Patton is now called Gyrfalcon. The Lester Jones is now called Summer Wind. Both vessels are private yachts and are based in the Seattle, Washington area.
