UIP is mainly known as an abbreviation for United International Pictures, a film distributor jointly owned by Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios, which distributes their films theatrically to almost 100 countries outside North America.

  • Usual interstitial pneumonia, a form of lung disease characterized by progressive scarring of both lungs.
  • Université Interdisciplinaire de Paris, a French association that advocates closer links between religion and science studies. In spite of the name, it is no university or other school of learning.
  • uIP (micro IP) - An embedded TCP/IP protocol stack intended for small 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers
  • Universal Installer Project - An XML file format by Macrovision for their InstallShield suite. Files of this format are suffixed with .uip
