Unión Deportiva Logroñés, S.A.D. is a Spanish football team based in Logroño, in the autonomous community of La Rioja. Founded in 2009 it currently plays in Segunda División B – Group 2, holding home matches at Estadio Las Gaunas, with a capacity of 16,500 seats.
History
Unión Deportiva Logroñés was founded in 2009 after the extinction of the CD Logroñés,[1] occupying the seat of CD Varea.[2] It started competing in Segunda División B.
The second team, UD Logroñés B, finished the regional championships in third position in the same season (2009–10), thus promoting to Tercera División.[3]
