Tyra Ferrell (born January 28, 1962) is an American actress.

Career

Ferrell appeared in Jungle Fever (1991), which starred Wesley Snipes and Annabella Sciorra. She also had roles in films such as Boyz n the Hood (1991), White Men Can't Jump (1992) (which again starred Snipes), and Poetic Justice (1993). On television, Ferrell was featured in the Quantum Leap second season episode "So Help Me God," and at one time Ferrell maintained a recurring role on ER. She is also credited for her role in the 2000 HBO miniseries The Corner as Ms. Ella.

In 1991, Ferrell was listed as one of twelve "Promising New Actors of 1991" in John Willis' Screen World.[1] In 2005, she was nominated for an image award as an outstanding actress in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special for NTSB: The Crash of Flight 323 (2004)(TV).[2]
