Turjak (German: Auersperg)[2] is a settlement in the Municipality of Velike Lašče in central Slovenia. The entire municipality is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[3]

It is best known as the location of Turjak Castle, a large 13th-century castle, greatly rebuilt in the early 16th century, one of the best-known and best-preserved castles in all of Carniola.[4]
