Turbo stenogyrus, common name the miniature turban, is a species of sea snail, marine gastropod mollusk in the family Turbinidae.[1]

  • Taxonomic status: Some authors place the name in the subgenus Turbo (Marmarostoma)

Description

The length of the shell varies between 10 mm and 35 mm.

This species is host to the ectoparasitic copepod Parapanaietis turbo Hoshina & Kuwabara, 1958

Distribution

This species occurs in the southwest Pacific and off Japan and Indonesia.
