Tuesday Morning Corporation is an upscale, deep-discount retailer specializing in domestic and international, designer and name-brand closeout merchandise with its headquarters in Dallas, Texas.[1] Despite growing to over 800 stores across the country and having decades of experience in closeout retailing, Tuesday Morning hasn't strayed from its original concept. The mission is to deliver fresh and exciting product assortments that are constantly being updated.

Customers at Tuesday Morning can expect:

  • Merchandise that's Identical or similar to that found in upscale department and specialty stores.
  • A "treasure trunk" type of atmosphere with limited availability and while supplies last on most items.
  • A mix of merchandise that includes upscale decorative accessories, rugs, lamps, books, crystal and glassware, china, luggage, luxury bed and bath linens, toys, gourmet foods, cookware, flatware and seasonal items such as greenery, trim, Christmas wrap and decorations, or lawn and garden furniture, accessories and apparel.
  • Well-known and nationally advertised manufacturers and name brands from around the world.
  • Casual, self-serve in-store atmosphere in a no-frills environment.

The chain traditionally has relied on direct marketing, (including mail and e-mail), but also advertises in newspapers.

On June 7, 2012, the retailer announced that they had fired CEO Kathleen Mason, due to criticism that the company was performing poorly under her direction. On the same day, the company promoted Michael Marchetti to president and chief operating officer. Marchetti also served as the interim CEO.[2]In May 2013 Mason sued Tuesday Morning for discrimination, claiming her termination occurred as a result of her breast cancer diagnosis.[3]
