Tuesday (band)
Tuesday was a pop punk/emo band formed by three ex-members of influential Chicago ska punk band Slapstick after the latter's 1996 breakup. Dan Andriano (bass/vocals), Matt Stamps (guitar), and Rob Kellenberger (drums/vocals) released their first EP Early Summer on Asian Man Records in 1997. Later in the year, they released their first and only LP, Freewheelin, acquired a second guitarist, Tyler Wiseman, and toured the U.S. in support of the album. Shortly thereafter, Andriano was asked by Matt Skiba to join the Alkaline Trio, and accepted. Although Mike Park was a help in writing a few songs, he has never done anything with the band. Alkaline Trio gained popularity very quickly, and their hectic schedule gave Andriano very little time to devote to Tuesday. Andriano continued to play with Tuesday for almost another year, although shows became more and more sparse. Tuesday went on hiatus in 1998.
Kellenberger went on to play drums with Duvall, Colossal, and briefly for the reunited Smoking Popes. Wiseman went on to play with The Honor System and Whale|Horse.
