"Tu Recuerdo" (English: "Your Memory") is the first single from Ricky Martin's album MTV Unplugged. It was released on September 26, 2006, and features La Mari of Chambao. The song is a Jibaro Ballad as it features elements of traditional Puerto Rican music such as the Puerto Rican cuatro.

Chart performance

In the United States, the song reached number one for three weeks on the Hot Latin Songs and topped the Latin Pop Songs for thirteen weeks. It also peaked at number eighty-nine on the Billboard Hot 100. "Tu Recuerdo" has sold 82,000 digital copies in the United States.[1] It was also certifid 4× Platinum in Mexico for sales of 400,000 downloads and Gold for 10,000 ringtones.

Awards

"Tu Recuerdo" was nominated for the Record of the Year at the Latin Grammy Awards of 2007. It was also nominated for Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Duet or Collaboration and Latin Pop Airplay Song of the Year, Duo or Group at the 2007 Latin Billboard Music Awards, and Best Ballad at the 2007 Premios Juventud.
