Tsai Capital is a New York-based long/short hedge fund manager.[1] The company was founded by Christopher Tsai in 1997.[2][3] Tsai is the son of the late American financier and philanthropist Gerald Tsai.[4]

Tsai Capital generally focuses on multinational, growth companies that have exposure to emerging markets.[5]

The firm's investment strategy is based upon extensive research into the business operations and balance sheets of prospective investments.[6][7]

In July 2013, Tsai Capital appointed a long/short portfolio manager, formerly from Soros Fund Management, to its advisory committee.[8]
