Tripi is a town and comune in the province of Messina (Sicily, Italy). It is located on the site of Abacaenum, an ancient Greek colony. Tripi, Sicily is known from many Cosa Nostra connections from Corleone and Tripi. Most of the Early Sicilian immigrants went to America in the 1920's and were given the last name of the town they came from Ex: Vito (Andolini)Corleone from the Godfather.
