Tribal Seeds is a reggae band based in San Diego, California[1] with heavy influence from Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, and Midnite. The group is headed by two brothers, both raised in San Diego playing instruments since early childhood. The lead singer Steven Jacobo writes the lyrics for the group, and his brother, keyboardist Tony-Ray Jacobo, writes all their music along with the other band members. The other band members are Victor Navarro, bass; Carlos Verdugo, drummer; E.N Young, keyboards; and Ryan "Gonzo" Gonzales, guitarist.[2] They have toured throughout the United States as well as Mexico, Aruba, and Guam, and have shared the stage with Atmosphere, Slightly Stoopid, MGMT, Gregg Allman, Earth Wind & Fire, Matisyahu, The Wailers, Gregory Isaacs, Stephen Marley, SOJA, Rebelution, and many more(Including Tha Maad T-Ray, a side project of Tony-Ray Jacobo's, which consists of mind melting reggae centered dubstep).

Their album, The Harvest, was released in June 2009 and debuted at the number 5 spot on the Billboard Reggae Charts. The album consists of fourteen new and original songs, written and produced by Tribal Seeds. Their latest album, Soundwaves, was released in July 2011 and peaked at #2 on the Billboard Reggae Charts.[3]

Tribal Seeds is set to release their 5th album "Representing" some time in 2014.
