Transdev Perth is an Australian bus company operating services in Perth under contract to Transperth. It is a subsidiary of Transdev.
History
On 29 September 1996 Southern Cross Transit commenced operating services in the Rockingham area from depots in Mandurah and Rockingham with 57 Mercedes-Benz and Renault buses.[1][2][3] In July 1998 the Central Area Transit and Fremantle area services were added.[4] Southern Cross Transit was owned by Victorian bus operators the Donric Group and Skybus Super Shuttle.[5]
In 1999 it was sold to National Express[6] who in September 2004 sold it to Connex.[7][8] It was rebranded as Veolia Transport and in July 2013 as Transdev Perth.
As at December 2013 Path Transit operate the Central Area Transit, Joondalup, Fremantle, Rockingham area contracts.[9][10]
Fleet
As at December 2013 the fleet consists of 483 buses.[11] In August 1997 two Denning double decker coaches were acquired from AAT Kings and Australian Pacific Touring to operate a Mandurah to Perth service.[12]
Depots
Transdev Perth operate eight depots in East Perth, Joondalup, Mandurah, Nowergup, Palmyra, Perth, Rockingham and Wangara.
