Towhid Hossain is a First class and List A cricketer from Bangladesh. He was born on 25 February 1978 in Narayanganj, Dhaka and is a right-handed batsman and leg break bowler. Sometimes referred to on scoresheets by his nickname Shamol, he played for Barisal Division from 2000/01 to 2005/06.
His only first class century, a knock of 116, came against Khulna Division while he scored 7 first class fifties. His best bowling, a spell of 4 for 47, came in a match against Dhaka Division. He scored 2 one day fifties, with a best of 61 against Chittagong Division.
