Toure' Ahmad Khalid-Murry (born November 8, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Erie BayHawks of the NBA D-League, on assignment from the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball at Wichita State University, leading the Shockers to the 2nd round of the 2012 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament and winning the 2011 National Invitation Tournament. Murry averaged 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game during his senior season in 2011–12.
Professional
After going undrafted in the 2012 NBA draft, he joined the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2012 NBA Summer League. He spent August and September in Turkey and Israel before returning to the United States. On November 2, 2012, the Austin Toros drafted him 15th overall in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft. On November 5, he was traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.[1] During his rookie season, he played 52 games in total for the Vipers, averaging 9.0ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.0apg, and 1.8spg.
In July 2013, Murry joined the Houston Rockets for the Orlando Summer League and the New York Knicks for the Las Vegas Summer League. On September 11, 2013, he signed with the Knicks.[2] On January 29, 2014, he was assigned to the Erie BayHawks.[3] He was recalled the next day. On January 31, 2014, he was re-assigned to the BayHawks.[4]
