Toukir Ahmed is a Bangladeshi[1] actor and movie-maker. He started his career in early 1980s. His first drama, broadcast on Bangladesh Television (BTV), was about drug addiction problem among youngsters of the country.
Education
Toukir studied in Jhenidah Cadet College (JCC) for his SSC and HSC exam. In JCC he actively took part in inter-house drama competition. He then studied architecture in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
Career
Successes of Toukir continued after his first drama and he became a lead-actor in romantic role for many dramas broadcast on BTV. Toukir came out as a movie-director by making Daruchini Dip. The movie won National Film Awards in seven categories in 2007. His father in law, Abul Hayat, won the Best Side Role Actor for the same movie.
Personal life
Toukir married Bipasha Hayat, another fellow actor, on 23 July 1999.[2] Together they have on son - Arib and one daughter - Arisha.[2]
