Tony Paul Way (born 7 October 1978) is an English actor, comedian and writer, originally best known for playing comedy characters on many British sit-coms and sketch shows, and playing the character Dave in the comedy film, Ali G Indahouse. More recently he has moved into film and drama where he has played Plague in David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Dontos Hollard in HBO's Game of Thrones and Thomas Nashe in Roland Emmerich's Anonymous.

Way was born in Rochford, Essex, and grew up in Wickford, Essex, where he attended the Beauchamps School. He now lives in Hackney, London

Career

Way started his career in comedy and acting aged 17 when he, Rhys Thomas, Stephen Burge and Glynne Wiley started making amateur comedy videos as sketch group Stay Alive Pepi while still at sixth form college in their home town of Wickford, Essex. The videos were viewed and enjoyed by Bob Mortimer and The Fast Show's Charlie Higson who gave Way his first television appearances in a Suit You sketch on the Fast Show and in several sketches in "Bang, Bang it's Reeves and Mortimer".

Way went on to write for and perform in many popular television comedy shows, including Mongrels, Extras, "Spaced" and Tittybangbang. He also performed in many television dramas and feature films including The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Anonymous, Tunnel of Love, Finding Neverland, Cheeky, Ali G Indahouse, Fairytales, "Ben Wheatley"s "Down Terrace" and "Sightseers". In 2012, he appeared as Ser Dontos Hollard in the second season of HBO's Game of Thrones and has recently completed filming Doug Liman's epic, sic-fi feature film "Edge Of Tomorrow" starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt

He can currently be heard playing the part of Terry in "BBC Radio 4" sit-com "Seekers' alongside "Mathew Horne" and "Daniel Mays". It is written by Tony's old friend and Stay Alive Pepi member "Stephen Burge".

Way also still regularly works with Rhys Thomas on the "Thomas and Way Podcast" which they have been recording irregularly since 2011

Way is set to return to the role of "Dontos Hollard" in season four of "Game Of Thrones"
