Tony Mario Sylva (born 17 May 1975) is a Senegalese footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He is currently unattached. Sylva has played for AC Ajaccio, AS Monaco, Lille and Trabzonspor.
Club career
AS Monaco
Sylva became a part of the AS Monaco FC team in 1993; while he was on the team, Monaco won the Ligue 1 championship.
Lille OSC
Sylva joined OSC Lille on the June 8, 2004, on a free transfer from AS Monaco. He played 163 games over four years for Lille.
Trabzonspor
In July 2008, Sylva signed a two-year deal with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor in a deal worth £950,000. Although his contract at Lille was due to expire in June 2009, according to Article 17 of FIFA's Regulations for the Status and Transfer of Players he was allowed to leave the club.[1] Sylva was released for the club at the end of the 2009-10 season.
