Tony Puryear

Tony Puryear is an African-American screenwriter and comic book artist best known for writing Eraser.
Life and career
Puryear, originally a New Yorker, graduated with a bachelor's degree in art from Brown University. During that time, he also worked as a gourmet chef. At his early film career, he wrote commercials, but didn't reach mainstream success until the 1996 debut of Eraser starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.[1] In recent work, he co-wrote the graphic novel Concrete Park with his wife Erika Alexander which was published by Dark Horse Comics.[2] Concrete Park was selected as one of the Best American Comics, 2013.[3] He and Erika were married in 1997.[4]
