Baseball career
At 25, Álvarez was considered one of the top ten Pirates prospects both by Baseball America and ESPN. He was signed by the Chicago White Sox as a free agent before the 2005 season, but failed to make the big league club. Álvarez is a .250 hitter with two home runs and 10 RBI in 38 Major League games. His baseball career did not pan out as well as planned.

The music videos were usually directed by Venezuelan Daniel Duran and Dominican Marlon P. (Marlon Peña), and later by just Duran.
