Tomi Joutsen (born April 30, 1975) is the current frontman for the bands Amorphis and Sinisthra. In 1999, he founded Sinisthra with Markku Mäkinen under the name Nevergreen. He performs both harsh and clean vocals, a contrast to the traditional heavy metal and punk rock stylish high-pitched voice of former Amorphis singer Pasi Koskinen. Tomi's voice style is very deep, similar to a gothic metal singer in the vein of Nick Holmes from Paradise Lost and Peter Steele of Type O Negative.[1]
