Thomas Michael Foley (born September 9, 1959 in Ft. Benning, Georgia) is a retired Major League baseball player. During his playing career, he was a shortstop for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Expos. He currently serves as the third base coach for the Tampa Bay Rays.

A graduate of Miami Palmetto High School, Foley was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 7th round of the 1977 amateur draft. He made his major league debut on April 9, 1983, at Riverfront Stadium, going 0-for-1 in an 8 - 4 Reds victory over the Chicago Cubs. During the 1985 season, he was traded with Freddie Toliver and Alan Knicely to the Philadelphia Phillies for Greg Simpson and Bo Diaz.

Less than a year later Foley was on the move again, traded with Lary Sorensen to the Montreal Expos for Skeeter Barnes and Dan Schatzeder. It was with the Expos that Foley made arguably his greatest major league impact, with a career high batting average of .293 in 1987 and appearing in a career high 127 games in 1988.

Foley signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Pirates prior to the 1993 season and played in 145 games over two seasons before returning to Montreal, where he finished his major league career in 1995. His final major league appearance was as a pinch hitter on July 13, 1995, grounding into a double play in a 4 - 3 Expos' loss to the Phillies.
