The Toledo Cherokee are a Tier III Junior A ice hockey team in the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL). The team plays their home games at the Team Toledo Ice House in Toledo, Ohio.[1][2] The team is coached by Scott Syring, former collegiate hockey player at Ohio State and head coach of the Cherokee from 1992-1999.[3]
History
Before moving to Tier III junior A hockey The Cherokee competed in Junior B hockey, the team won the Jr. B National Championship in 1998.
Alumni
The Cherokee have produced a number of alumni playing in higher levels of junior hockey, NCAA and ACHA college programs, and professional hockey.[4]
- Adam Edinger 5th round draft pick by New York Islanders, currently playing for Bloomington Prairie Thunder (IHL)
