Titron, also known as Durraj Pur, is a town and a nagar panchayat in Saharanpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Geography

Titron is located at 29°40′N 77°19′E / 29.67°N 77.32°E / 29.67; 77.32.[1] It has an average elevation of 248 metres (813 feet). Titron is the oldest town in Saharanpur.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[2] Titron had a population of 10,499. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Titron has an average literacy rate of 45%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 55%, and female literacy is 33%. In Titron, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
