Tisra is a census town in Dhanbad district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Tisra had a population of 53,547. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Tisra has an average literacy rate of 58%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 68%, and female literacy is 44%. In Tisra, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
