Tianhenan Station (Chinese: 天河南站), literally means Tianhe South Station and formerly Tianhe 1st Road South Station (Chinese: 天河南一路站) during planning, is a metro station of Guangzhou Metro Zhujiang New Town Automated People Mover Systems in Guangzhou, China. It is located at the underground of the interchange of Tianhe 1st Road South (Chinese: 天河南一路; pinyin: Tīanhé Nányīlù) and Liuyun 2nd Street (Chinese: 六运二街; pinyin: Liuyun Erjie) in Tianhe District.[1] It started operation on 8 November 2010.[2][3] The station is unique in being the only station in Guangzhou with no escalator access to the platforms - instead 4 lifts carry passengers from the concourse to the platform plus a staircase for emergency use.
