Tiagba is a lake village and commune in the Ébrié Lagoon of Côte d'Ivoire, known for its traditional houses built on stilts.[1] It is also a prime tourist attraction in Côte d'Ivoire because of its individuality. Tiagba has long been a favorite with tourists, especially after their indulgences in the upscale destinations such as Ébrié Lagoon and the Lagunes Region. The village affords such quaint activities as pirogue (canoe) rides and staying nights in the old houses that stand on the lakeside on stilts.

The outlying areas from Tiagba include some of the most prominent tourist destinations of Côte d'Ivoire. The surfer's paradise of Sassandra, the breath-taking bio-diversity of the rain forests of Parc National d'Assagny, and the Parc National de Taï, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and abode of such rare species as panthers, chimpanzees, and pygmy hippopotamuses are all just a short bus ride away from the tranquil Tiagba.[1]
