Tiškevičiai Palace, Vilnius

Tiškevičiai Palace is a former residential palace in Vilnius Old Town, near the intersection of Trakų and Pylimo streets. Currently it is occupied by the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.

History

The first masonry building in the location was built in the 15th century.

In the 18th century, nobles Karpiai ordered essential reconstruction project, which was prepared by Laurynas Gucevičius. Soon after that, Tiškevičiai took the building and in 1840 ordered another reconstruction, prepared by Tomas Tyšeckis.[1]
