Thomas J. Powers

Thomas J. Powers is an American Republican Party politician, who served on the Monmouth County, New Jersey Board of Chosen Freeholders from 1982 to 2005. In 2005, he served as director of the Board.

Biography

Powers served on the Aberdeen Township council from 1968 to 1973, and from 1976 to 1983; he served as Mayor of Aberdeen Township, New Jersey in 1972-1973 and 1982-1983. He was elected to the Board of Chosen Freeholders in 1981 and served 24 years. He chose not to seek reelection in 2005.[1]
