Theo Green
Theo Green is a British film composer. Although best known for his music for British and American thrillers such as House at the End of the Street, Hush,[1][2] Dread,[3] he has also worked on comedy, documentary and drama films. His sound design and additional music is also found in The Escapist and Harry Brown.
Early Life
Won a music scholarship to attend New College School in Oxford and later studied at Abingdon School.
Career
Theo Green's musical background prior to composing for films ranges from singing with Oxford's New College Choir as a chorister to Bristol's Drum & Bass duo Twisted Pair. He also provided the soundtrack for many New York and London Fashion Week shows for Temperley London.
Film & TV
2008's BAFTA and BIFA-winning The Escapist[4][5][6] was Green's first feature, as sound designer and additional composer, having collaborated with director Rupert Wyatt previously on the short film, "Get The Picture".
In 2009 he wrote the score for Warp Films' road thriller, directed by Mark Tonderai: Hush.[7] and joined the roster of film composers at Air-Edel. In 2012 he teamed up with Hush director Mark Tonderai a second time for the Jennifer Lawrence suspense thriller, House at the End of the Street. The film has made over $45 million at the box office worldwide, from a budget under $7 million. Since then, Green has composed the score for Kidulthood director Menhaj Huda's Comedown, Steve Barker's follow up to his cult classic "Outpost" - Outpost: Black Sun, and most recently Shan Khan's Honour starring Paddy Considine.
