The Slew is a multinational electronic music project, consisting of Canadian DJ Kid Koala, American Dynomite D, and Australian rock musicians Chris Ross and Myles Heskett, formerly of the band Wolfmother.[1]
The group first came together in 2005, when Kid Koala and Dynomite D were approached to compose music for the soundtrack to a documentary film by filmmaker Jay Rowlands. While the film eventually fell through, the group continued to collaborate on music, and released an album, 100%, in 2009.[2]
In August 2010, Kid Koala stated in an interview that he had begun working on a second album, which is due to feature vocals from Jon Spencer and Mike Patton. The new album, unlike the first, will be composed of samples provided by the instrumentalists in the studio. [3][4]
