The Luminary

The Luminary was the first newspaper published in Atlanta, Georgia. Reverend Joseph S. Baker established the paper which appeared as a four-page weekly beginning in 1846. In 1848 it was sold and its name was changed to the Tribune. It ceased publication shortly thereafter in August or September of 1848.[1]
