Thallium(III) nitrate, also known as thallic nitrate, is a thallium compound with chemical formula Tl(NO3)3.[1] It is normally found as the trihydrate. It is a colorless and highly toxic solid. It is a strong oxidizing agent, both from the nitrate and the thallium(III) ion. It is extremely dangerous upon contact with skin. It may produce oxides of nitrogen upon decomposition. It is decomposed in water. It is incompatible with strong reducing agents.
