Thalia geniculata, arrowroot,[2] fire-flag,[2] is a plant species found in Chontalpa, an area in the Mexican state of Tabasco. It is a noxious weed in some parts of the United States.
The larvae of Stolidoptera tachasara, Xylophanes hannemanni and Sphenarches anisodactylus have been recorded feeding on Thalia geniculata.
Chemistry
Rosmarinic acid can be found in plants in the family Marantaceae such as Thalia geniculata.[3]
