Thad Levine
Thad Levine (born November 12, 1971) is the assistant general manager for the Texas Rangers baseball team.[1]
Levine was born in Alexandria, Virginia. He has a bachelor's degree from Haverford College ('94), where he played baseball.[2]
As a child Levine attended Brant Lake Camp in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. At Brant Lake Camp, Levine was a member of the Gray team for their color war "Green and Gray." Levine worked one season for the Los Angeles Dodgers in business development, and earned an MBA from UCLA in 1999.[3] He then joined the Colorado Rockies in 1999, and worked there successively as an assistant director, director, and senior director.[4] Levine assisted Rockies General Manager Dan O'Dowd in baseball operations, including contract negotiations, player transactions, payroll management, financial and statistical analysis, and rules administration.[2][3]
Levine was appointed to the position of Rangers' assistant general manager in October 2005.[1][2][5]
