Asia Anderson (born 1988, as Teyona Anderson) is an American fashion model, and the winner of America's Next Top Model, Cycle 12.
Early life
Anderson was born in Woodstown, New Jersey.
America's Next Top Model
At the semi-finals, Anderson was the ninth girl called to join the final thirteen competing for America's Next Top Model, Cycle 12. Throughout the competition, she was called first three times, being widely considered versatile and naturally photogenic by the judges. She also received praise for her consistent photos which placed her in the Top 3 from Week 5 all the way to her win, her chameleon portfolio, as well as her "wind-in-the-face" look. She struggled with her final commercial, and landed in the bottom two for the first (and only) time, but survived against fellow competitor Aminat Ayinde. At the final judging, she was deemed to be neck and neck with fellow contestant Allison Harvard, but was believed to have a greater passion for modeling, making her the judges' pick for America's Next Top Model.
She also had a high average of call-out order, standing at 2,45, making her as the contestant with the best call-out order average at the time beating out Cycle 10's runner-up Anya Rozova with 2,63. However, she didn't hold this feat long enough because the next cycle's winner Nicole Fox beating her call-out order average with 2,40, and then Fox was also beaten by Cycle 15's winner Ann Ward with a 2,20 call-out order average, and still a record until now.
