Tenancingo Municipality is a municipality and a town in Tlaxcala in south-eastern Mexico.
The town is known to be a big prostitution center.[1][2] Young women from across Mexico are duped into sex trade in the town. One Mexican charity estimates there are 1,000 traffickers in Tenancingo out of a population of 10,000. "Sanctuary for Families", a New York group helping trafficking victims, said it saw a big increase in the number of such cases over the years.
