Telikin is a line of MSi-based all-in-one desktop computers developed and distributed by Venture 3 Systems[1] According to the manufacturer, Telikin is aimed primarily at senior citizens who may not be comfortable using a traditional computer.[2] It comes in two different models: a base model with an 18" screen, and an Elite model with a 20" screen.[3]
A home screen on the computer has a panel of large text buttons on the side for accessing functions like news, video chat, email, and Web.[4]
Venture 3 Systems, founded by Fred Allegrezza, launched the Telikin on Black Friday 2010.[5] The company is based in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.[6]
Software
The operating system is a modified form of Tiny Core Linux that is developed by Venture 3 Systems. Applications such as the web browser, email program, and a basic office program are custom-made and built into the operating system.[3]
