Tedatioxetine (Lu AA24530) is an antidepressant currently under development by Lundbeck and Takeda for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD).[1][2] Tedatioxetine is reported to act as a triple reuptake inhibitor (5-HT > NE > DA) and in addition as a 5-HT2A, 5-HT2C, 5-HT3 and α1A-adrenergic receptor antagonist.<ref name="urlUSPTO Applications - Publication No. 20100144788 - "4- [2- (4-METHYLPHENYLSULFANYD-PHENYL] PIPERIDINE WITH COMBINED SEROTONIN AND NOREPINEPHRINE REUPTAKE INHIBITION FOR THE TREATMENT OF ADHD, MELANCHOLIA, TREATMENT RESISTENT DEPRESSION OR RESIDUAL SYMPTOMS IN DEPRESSION"">"SureChem - Document - USPTO Applications - Publication No. 20100144788".
