Ted Robbins is an English actor, television presenter and radio broadcaster and presents a Sunday morning show on BBC Radio Lancashire [2] Ted has performed as a warm-up artist for numerous pre-recorded comedy shows that have been filmed before live studio audiences including Granada Television's Wood and Walters and the BBC's Little Britain.[3] He also starred in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights (2001-2002) for both series as Den Perry, the main 'villain' and also the Governor in The Slammer.

Personal life

He is an enthusiastic supporter of Rossendale Rugby Club, sometimes as a player but mainly to watch his son, Jack, who plays prop.[4]

Ted Robbins is also the President of Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Edenfield, Lancashire.[5] He is the brother of Kate Robbins and Amy Robbins, both actresses,Jane Robbins the portrait sculptor and is a cousin of Paul McCartney. Ted currently performs in a panto at the Charter Theatre Preston.
