History

Tecoma station opened on 1 February 1924.[2] The station was formerly one of the stations on the Upper Ferntree GullyGembrook narrow gauge line, one of the narrow gauge lines of the Victorian Railways, until 1962 when the line as far as Belgrave was converted to Broad Gauge.

The platform was used in a short cameo in the 2012 telemovie Underground: The Julian Assange Story and metlink signs and tactiles are visible in the film.
