Taysir Khalid

Taysir Khalid (Tayseer Khaled) is a member and Politburo member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), who was a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization until 1993, when he resigned in protest against the Oslo Accords.[1] He was the party's candidate for President of the Palestinian Authority in 2005. He gained 3.4% of the vote.[2] Early Life Tayseer Khaled was born on January 19, 1941, in a small village named Qaryout near Ramallah in Palestine. His father Ahmad, was a Palestinian peasant who had 4 sons, Abbas, Jameel, Ahmad, and Tayseer. And he had 3 daughters, Yosra, Myassar, and Nawal, who lives now in Amman/Al-Zarqa.


Early Life
